2001
Jacobs Energie, BWU and pro + pro Energiesysteme merge and form the REpower Systems Group.

2000
The REpower MD77 with a rated output of 1.5 megawatts – designed for low-wind sites – is now produced in series.

1999
The production of the BWU 48/600-750 starts.

1998
The production of the BWU 1000/57 – first turbine in the megawatt class – starts.
The MD70 prototype as largest wind turbine world wide is developed.

1997
The engineering office pro + pro Energiesysteme GmbH & Co KG in Rendsburg is founded.

1996
The BWU-Brandenburgische Wind- und Umwelttechnologien GmbH is founded.
Jacobs Energie GmbH and BWU-Brandenburgische Wind- und Umwelttechnologien GmbH sign a licensing agreement to construct the 43/600 type wind turbine.

1995
The project development and operating company Regenerative Energien Denker & Dr. Wulff KG (now Denker & Wulff AG) is founded in Sehestedt.

1994
The first in-house developed 500 kilowatt turbine, later developed further into a 600 kilowatt turbine, is introduced.
