REpower and EDF Energies Nouvelles & RES Canada sign the to date largest onshore contract for REpower which comprises the delivery of up to 954 MW for wind farm projects in Québec, Canada.

REpower Systems AG announces financial figures for first half of 2009/10 (1 April 2009 – 30 September 2009). The total performance increases to EUR 617.0 million. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rise by over 38% to EUR 31.3 million.

REpower celebrates topping-out ceremony for the new Technical Center in Osterrönfeld (Schleswig-Holstein, Germany). 470 employees of the locations Rendsburg and Büdelsdorf move into the new complex on the Kiel Canal in spring 2010.

With an EBIT of EUR 76.9 billion in fiscal year 2008/09 REpower Systems AG reached the so far best operating result in its company history. This means that the result has more than doubled compared to fiscal year 2007 (EUR 28.2 billion).

The erection of the first wind farm consisting of REpower 6M turbines was successfully accomplished in the privately-owned Westre wind farm at the German-Danish frontier. At that time, the REpower 6M is the world’s most powerful wind turbine.

REpower celebrates the laying of the foundation stone of the new research and development center in Osterrönfeld (Kreis Rendsburg-Eckernförde). The departments intend to move in the new building in 2010.
